A powerful and flexible industrial computer for industrial HD image processing
Our client manufactures Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) machines for LCD panel inspection. Quality control through automated inspection of products delivers higher overall quality products to their customers, drastically reducing the number of returns and increasing the reliability of their LCD panels. The AOI machine must perform several checks such as OLB alignment checks, ACF inspection, bonding indentation checks, and inspection for scrapes, particles, and chipping. Their high resolution, high accuracy, high-performance AOI system, with customized software required an industrial computer to capture and process high definition images.
The industrial computer needed to support several expansion cards that control the machine's mechanical parts, be sufficiently powerful to process a large number of high definition images from the industrial cameras connected to the image capture card.
